Kathryn Hahn Breaks Silence On Golden Globes Nomination For ‘Agatha All Along’ & Potential MCU Return

The award winner was Agatha All Along! Kathryn Hahn speaks on her unexpected nomination at the Golden Globes and if she’d want to return to the MCU.

This year’s nominations for the Golden Globes were filled with plenty of surprises. From a stunning three nominations for The Penguin to Sebastian Stan landing two nominations for best actor, this has turned out to be one of the most captivating years for the ceremony in a long time. This is partially due to an MCU project finding its way onto the list, with Kathryn Hann being nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series for her role in Agatha All Along.

This nomination came as a surprise to everyone. While MCU fans certainly loved Kathryn Hahn’s performance in Agatha All Along, it’s also a show that received widespread mockery leading up to its release. When speaking on her shocking nomination at the Golden Globes, Hahn reveals that the thing she’s feeling the most right now is a zest to return to work.

“I’m so proud, and I’m so thrilled for Marvel,” Hahn explained to Deadline in a recent statement. “They were so supportive of this tiny, fabulous, female- and queer-led show.”

“We were going to pick out our Christmas tree tonight. I don’t know. I mean, life just goes on, and I’ve got kids, so I’m hoping I have a glass of champagne tonight. Maybe I’ll buy myself flowers. The whole thing is really giddy, then you just immediately feel like, ‘Okay, I can’t wait to get back to work.’”

Will Kathryn Hahn Return To The MCU?

Given how rare it is for an MCU project to get a nomination at an awards show for anything beyond its costuming and effects, fans assumed that being recognized by the Golden Globes is a sure sign that Kathryn Hahn has a long future ahead in the universe after Agatha All Along. When speaking of her potential return, the actress admitted that she would be absolutely thrilled to reprise her character in a future project.

“I think I meant that we were very satisfied by the way that Agatha All Along ended the arc of that story being told there. I think everyone would be thrilled to come back, of course, in any capacity. It was a very life-altering, deep experience in Atlanta, Georgia, with just this very small cast on the soundstage, day after day after day.”

Given how much certain fans connected with Agatha All Along, it’s a no brainer for Marvel to bring Kathryn Hahn back into the MCU, especially given how passionate she seems to be about the role. While her character was written off at first, this Golden Globes nomination proves its not wise to count any project out before the chips are down.
