Florence Pugh is not afraid to voice her opinions and hit back at body shamers.
The actress, 28, has become an advocate for women in recent years as her Hollywood career takes off.
And now, in a candid new interview, the Don’t Worry Darling star has hit out at Hollywood beauty standards and said she wants to “help young women” in the industry.

Speaking to The Times, the British star, who previously hit back at critics of her semi-sheer Valentino gown, said she’s “proud” of herself for sticking to her guns.
“I’m proud I’ve stuck by myself and look the way I look – I’m really interested in people who are still angry with me for not losing more weight, or who just hate my nose ring,” Pugh told the publication.
“I am not going to be able to just change the way that things are – but I can certainly help young women coming into this industry by making conversations happen where they weren’t before.”

Celebrity moments and photos people can’t stop talking about
“What’s been interesting to watch and witness is just how easy it is for men to totally destroy a woman’s body, publicly, proudly, for everyone to see. You even do it with your job titles and work emails in your bio..?”
“It isn’t the first time and certainly won’t be the last time a woman will hear what’s wrong with her body by a crowd of strangers, what’s worrying is just how vulgar some of you men can be.”
She said critics even commented on her breast size and added: “Grow up. Respect people. Respect bodies. Respect all women. Respect humans. Life will get a whole lot easier, I promise.”

She recently told Elle UK: “I speak the way I do about my body because I’m not trying to hide the cellulite on my thigh or the squidge in between my arm and my boob: I would much rather lay it all out.”
Referencing the Valentino dress critics, she added: “It’s the freedom that people are scared of; the fact I’m comfortable and happy. Keeping women down by commenting on their bodies has worked for a very long time.”
