Jamie Foxx has faced another medical emergency following his near-death health-scare.
Reports claim the actor was involved in an altercation at a Los Angeles restaurant while celebrating his birthday on Friday night (Saturday in Australia).
A spokesperson for the star told Page Six, ”Jamie Foxx was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth.

“He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called and the matter is now in law enforcement’s hands.”
According to a Beverly Hills Police Department press release obtained by the outlet, law enforcement was called to LA restaurant Mr. Chow at 10:06 p.m for a reported assault with a deadly weapon.
After an initial investigation, police found that the report of assault was “unfounded”, though they did confirm the incident “involved a physical altercation between parties.”

The incident continues to be investigated, with officers submitting a report documenting battery, confirming no arrests were made.
Foxx had spoken to media earlier this week about being able to celebrate his birthday after his near-death experience in 2023, culminating in a weeks-long coma and a tough recovery.
“It’s beautiful because I didn’t know if I would be here to celebrate it,” he told photographers in a video posted to X, formerly Twitter.

The actor was first hospitalised in April 2023 after having a then-undisclosed health crisis while filming the Netflix spy thriller, Back In Action, alongside Cameron Diaz in Atlanta.
In his new Netflix special released on Tuesday titled: Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was…, he shared that a doctor told them right after he was first admitted that Foxx was having a brain bleed that had led to a stroke and that he would die without an operation.
After the operation, doctors said that Foxx might make a full recovery “but it’s going to be the worst year of his life,” Foxx recounted.

The actor and his family remained tight-lipped about the situation over the year during his recovery, though he is active now.
