Kim Zolciak has recently opened up about the struggles she faced during her marriage to Kroy Biermann, describing their relationship as “torture.” In a candid interview, the Don’t Be Tardy star revealed that she believes her ex-husband has a “track record” of being a major source of tension in their relationship, especially during the past few years.
“I think there’s a track record of Kroy being the problem,” Kim Zolciak said, speaking to TMZ. “Nobody has any idea what I’ve dealt with the last two and a half, three years.” This remark points to the deep challenges Kim endured while navigating a turbulent marriage, which eventually led to their separation.
Amid their ongoing divorce, the couple’s financial troubles have also come to light. Kim is reportedly facing the possibility of her bank account being garnished due to a significant $215,000 debt tied to her credit card. On top of the financial strain, the ex-couple has been trying to sell their Georgia mansion but have had to lower the price multiple times. An auction for the house was even scheduled for December.
Despite the separation, Kim and Kroy continue to live under the same roof. Kim explained that although Kroy owns another property, he’s still residing in their shared home. “He has his own house, but he’s not living there,” Kim shared. “I hate living there with him, but it’s okay. I have my own house now too.” Kim’s decision to remain in the same house as Kroy amid the divorce has undoubtedly added to the strain.
In addition to their living situation, the couple’s volatile interactions have led to frequent police involvement at their mansion. Kim Zolciak described the situation as “awful” and “terrible,” revealing that Kroy has removed many of their belongings. “Kroy’s cleaned out the house, the storage unit … closet, safe,” she said. It’s clear that the situation remains tense, with both parties continuing to clash over the details of their separation.
As the holiday season approached, Kim also shared how she took charge of the family’s Thanksgiving plans after Kroy failed to follow through. “Kroy wanted Thanksgiving but then didn’t do anything for [the kids] for Thanksgiving,” she explained. “So I had to figure that out … So then I stepped in and did it.” Kim even took on the responsibility of buying all the gifts for the kids last Christmas, emphasizing her commitment to providing for her children despite the chaos surrounding her.
In the midst of all the turmoil, Kim reiterated that she is “a rational person” who is simply trying to avoid unnecessary conflict. “I don’t see the need for any of this control and chaos,” she said. She went on to describe Kroy as being excessively controlling, stating that he’s “to say the least” too domineering in their interactions.
Do you agree Kim may be the more rational one?
