Marvel Studios is reportedly considering Stranger Things star Sadie Sink for the role of Jean Grey in its highly anticipated X-Men reboot, according to Hollywood insider Jeff Sneider. With Stranger Things concluding its fifth and final season in 2025, Sink’s schedule will soon open up, making her a strong contender for the iconic mutant role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Known for her fiery red hair and commanding performances in projects like Stranger Things and The Whale, Sink appears to fit the physical and emotional profile of Jean Grey, one of Marvel’s most powerful and complex characters. Marvel is known for casting actors with significant buzz, and the cast of Stranger Things will undoubtedly be in high demand following the series finale.

While no director has been attached to the X-Men reboot, it’s possible the mutants will be introduced before their solo film, with Sneider noting that the Avengers sequels Doomsday and Secret Wars could serve as their entry point. Though no official announcements have been made, Sadie Sink would follow in the footsteps of Famke Janssen and Sophie Turner, who previously portrayed Jean Grey in Fox’s X-Men films.
