Did TJ Miller and Ryan Reynolds bury the hatchet? The Weasel actor reveals his desire to return as his character in Deadpool 4.

TJ Miller has had quite the interesting history with the Deadpool franchise. The actor played Ryan Reynolds’ sidekick Weasel in the first two films, yet wasn’t even mentioned in passing in Deadpool and Wolverine. This is due to a number of sexual assault allegations made against the actor in 2017, along with accusations of bullying and harassment from his former Silicon Valley co-stars.

This led to a very public (albeit one-sided) fallout between TJ Miller and Ryan Reynolds. Miller claimed that Reynolds was “horrifically mean” to him as a reflection of his character Weasel being second fiddle in the Deadpool films. The feud ultimately concluded with Miller saying he had no desire to work with Reynolds again. Yet now it seems he’s playing a different tune.

TJ Miller Wants To Return As Weasel

TJ Miller recently made an appearance on SiriusXM’s The Bonfire radio show, a wide-ranging podcast hosted by comedians telling stories about their life and travels. Miller spoke about his role as Weasel during his episode, revealing that him and Ryan Reynolds have long since made up, and that he now sees the actor has a good friend. He also admitted that he’d love to return in a future installment of the Deadpool franchise.

“We talked a little while ago,” Miller explained. “I think he’s just been such a good friend right now that I think it would be really, I think [returning for ‘Deadpool 4’] would be awesome.”

Of course, like all parts of this feud, fans only have TJ Miller’s perspective of the matter. It’s unclear if Ryan Reynolds has truly made amends with Miller, and it’s unlikely he’ll ever officially clarify his stance until Weasel officially makes his return in a Deadpool project.
